This behavior is viewed by many as highly questionable, yet there exists a dedicated group—often referred to as the cult of celebrity—who refuse to acknowledge any wrongdoing and instead glorify him at every turn. This idolization leads to an alarming dismissal of serious allegations and a culture of denial that can be damaging to actual victims of abuse.

The Internet is inundated with pro-Jackson misinformation and conspiracy theories. The situation intensified significantly following the release of Dan Reed's Leaving Neverland, which showcased the personal testimonies of James Safechuck and Wade Robson, bringing renewed attention to the allegations and further polarization among fans and critics alike.
